About the position

The VP, Group Project Supervisor at Patients & Purpose is a leadership role focused on overseeing a portfolio of interactive projects within the pharmaceutical advertising and marketing sector. This position requires a seasoned manager who can mentor project managers, ensure financial health across brands, and foster collaboration between internal teams and clients. The role emphasizes strategic oversight, budget management, and the development of team members while contributing to the agency's culture and initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee a portfolio of business staffed with project managers of various levels.
  • Create and review annual brand Statements of Work (SOWs) aligned with strategic objectives.
  • Review and approve client billings, reconciliations, and forecasts with input from finance and account teams.
  • Monitor brand budgets and provide solutions to address budget concerns.
  • Supervise project managers, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.
  • Serve as a point of escalation for brand staffing, budget, or timing concerns.
  • Contribute to department-wide initiatives beyond brand oversight.
  • Participate in and/or lead client meetings related to digital initiatives and financial reporting.
  • Foster cross-discipline process and culture initiatives to enhance agency culture and talent development.
  • Establish clear career goals with reports and provide opportunities to meet those goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • 7-10 years of interactive project management experience in pharmaceutical advertising/marketing or a similar environment.
  • Deep experience with multiple interactive mediums including websites, social media, and emerging technologies.
  • Strong understanding of development technologies (AEM, PHP, JS) and quality assurance processes.
  • Fluent in Waterfall and Agile methodologies.
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent presentation skills for both internal and external teams.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Previous experience managing direct reports.
