About the position

The VP Crop & Livestock Insurance position at Compeer Financial is a leadership role responsible for guiding a team of sales leaders in developing new crop and livestock insurance business, retaining existing clients, and cross-selling Compeer products and services. The role involves creating and executing strategies to enhance client relationships and ensure compliance and profitability within the insurance line of business. This hybrid position allows for work from various Compeer locations, promoting a collaborative and innovative workplace culture.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of sales leaders in developing new crop and livestock insurance business.
  • Retain existing business and cross-sell Compeer products and services.
  • Create and execute strategies to strengthen client relationships.
  • Manage resources, compliance, and profitability within the insurance line of business.
  • Develop marketplace-specific strategies that align with the organization's objectives.
  • Communicate business expectations and goals to the team.
  • Promote and uphold the Insurance Sales culture within the team.
  • Encourage the use of the Team Relationship Model across Compeer.
  • Develop and execute sales and marketing strategies and plans.
  • Assess new opportunities and seek innovative solutions for organizational success.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, marketing, agribusiness or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in the financial services industry.
  • Minimum of seven years of leadership and management experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of federal and state laws, regulations, and compliance requirements specific to the financial industry and Farm Credit.
  • Expert knowledge of collateral evaluation methods and sales management techniques.
  • Working knowledge of the agriculture industry and local marketplace.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage at all organizational levels.
  • High level of integrity and strong negotiating, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong computer skills, including MS Office and CRM programs.
