About the position

The Vice President of IT Product Management will lead the product management organization within the IT department, reporting directly to the Chief Technology Officer. This executive role is crucial for overseeing the lifecycle of technology products, ensuring they meet market demands and deliver exceptional value. The VP will focus on enhancing the digital customer experience, optimizing operational efficiencies, and leveraging technology for business growth, collaborating with cross-functional teams to align technology solutions with business objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive product strategy that aligns with the company's overall business goals.
  • Lead and mentor a team of product managers, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration.
  • Conduct market research to identify emerging trends and customer needs.
  • Oversee the end-to-end product development process, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality outcomes.
  • Ensure products are designed with a deep understanding of customer needs to enhance user experience.
  • Work closely with engineering, marketing, sales, and other departments for successful product launches.
  • Develop and maintain a detailed product roadmap, prioritizing initiatives based on business value.
  • Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure product success.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, encouraging the exploration of new technologies.
  • Engage with senior executives and stakeholders to communicate product vision and strategy.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; MBA preferred.
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in IT product management or related roles, with at least 10 years in a leadership capacity.
  • Prior experience in the retail industry is highly desirable.
  • Relevant certifications such as Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or Project Management Professional (PMP) are desirable.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong focus on delivering results and achieving business objectives.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Supply Chain and Order Management systems.
  • Knowledge of UI/UX principles and practices.
  • Familiarity with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems.
