About the position

The VP of Leasing and Real Estate Operations at Crown Castle is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing a large organization dedicated to managing customer leasing efforts across a nationwide portfolio of 40,000 wireless communications tower sites. This position requires a visionary leader who can drive growth, optimize performance, and cultivate a culture of collaboration and accountability within the team. The role encompasses various functions including contract development, tower tenant support, real estate operations, and real estate acquisitions and site development, ensuring long-term economic and operational control of Crown's real estate interests.

Responsibilities

  • Lead functional teams within Leasing and Real Estate Operations including Contract Development, Tower Tenant Support, Real Estate Operations, and Real Estate Acquisitions and Site Development.
  • Oversee the preparation and execution of site-level lease agreements for Crown's tower business, ensuring alignment with legal entities and obligations.
  • Monitor progress of agreements to resolve open contingencies prior to execution and revenue commencement.
  • Manage contract compliance, including setup, maintenance, and data management of account and master contract information.
  • Ensure quality assurance and control by identifying and addressing risks associated with inaccuracies in customer contracts.
  • Coordinate production management and order-related real estate contingencies for tower tenant support.
  • Manage real estate activity for Crown-owned rooftops and land under third-party tower sites, including intercompany transactions.
  • Lead real estate transaction closings, title and legal rights research, and data certifications.
  • Negotiate with landowners and manage foreclosure prevention efforts.
  • Oversee real estate origination activity for purchases and lease extensions, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.

Requirements

  • Deep understanding of Crown's strategic objectives and ability to translate them into operational strategies.
  • Proven experience in leading large teams and fostering high performance.
  • Strong negotiation skills and experience in real estate transactions.
  • Ability to manage complex projects and drive continuous improvement.
