About the position

The Vice President of Sales for the Metals Division at Odyssey Logistics & Technology Corporation is responsible for leveraging the Metals Intermodal portfolio to address complex supply chain and logistics challenges for clients. This role involves developing and executing sales strategies to achieve revenue growth, building relationships with customers, and collaborating with various internal teams to deliver effective solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Effectively communicate Metals Intermodal value proposition to prospective and current customers.
  • Develop a plan and execute relevant sales activities to achieve and exceed established sales goals for new net revenue growth.
  • Build and strengthen business relationships with potential and existing customers for the purpose of promoting a portfolio of solutions and service offerings.
  • Develop a plan focusing on solution sales, sales call strategy and qualified list of prospects in assigned geography.
  • Utilize a consultative approach to drive conversations and develop formal sales solutions for closing business.
  • Navigate complex buying committees and maintain relationships with economic buyers and key executives within target accounts.
  • Establish and maintain effective communication at all levels of strategic accounts and leverage internal resources for a positive customer experience.
  • Partner with various internal teams to deliver world-class solutions to client opportunities.
  • Work closely with legal and finance teams to finalize and execute agreements.
  • Leverage personal network to support growth efforts.
  • Accurately update and forecast opportunities and maintain notes within Salesforce.
  • Drive results by conveying urgency and resolving issues to closure.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to remove roadblocks and solve client problems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and 10+ years of relevant sales experience, preferably in administration, engineering, technology, or related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in selling multi-modal 4PL/Managed trans/TMS solutions with an annual quota exceeding $1M.
  • Proven track record as a strategic enterprise sales executive growing new business.
  • Demonstrated experience with prospecting and managing a full sales cycle.
  • Experience in creating and managing a strong sales pipeline and achieving annual sales quotas.
  • Ability to think outside the box and create innovative logistics solutions.
  • Strong collaboration skills with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Experience influencing decisions at the executive level.
  • Possesses high ethical standards and professional integrity.
  • Experience in TMS, supply chain, and logistics technology tools is a plus.
  • Multi-modal experience in TL, LTL, Bulk, Rail, and small parcel is advantageous.
  • Clear understanding of market conditions and their impact on supply chain decisions.
  • Operational experience is an asset.
  • Strong background in consultative and value-based selling.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in Hazmat and Freight Forwarding is a plus.
  • High Degree of Supply Chain and Business Acumen in Operations & Logistics, Distribution and Transportation, Manufacturing, Finance and Technology.
