About the position

ScionHealth is seeking a Vice President of Marketing and Communications to lead the management of the ScionHealth brand and its affiliated brands. This role is pivotal in overseeing the company's communications and marketing functions, ensuring alignment with the organization's purpose, values, and business objectives. The Vice President will work closely with the executive team and leaders across various disciplines and affiliated hospitals, spearheading a team dedicated to developing and implementing data-driven, multi-modal marketing plans, as well as internal and external communications strategies. This position is based out of the Nashville Support Center office and requires a strategic thinker who can navigate complex challenges and drive brand growth. The Vice President will evaluate and manage the ScionHealth brand, positioning the company effectively within the marketplace. This includes developing and executing internal communications strategies to ensure that employee stakeholders across various locations receive relevant and consistent content. Additionally, the role involves crafting external communications strategies that encompass media relations, community engagement, and digital presence, while providing strategic guidance to hospitals on these functions. A critical aspect of this role is leading crisis communications responses, ensuring coordination with internal and external parties, including legal and compliance teams. The Vice President will leverage research and data to formulate marketing strategies that enhance brand awareness and drive growth at both the enterprise and hospital levels. This includes overseeing key marketing functions such as strategic planning, digital marketing, and creative services, as well as managing corporate communications and marketing budgets. Regular attendance and the ability to perform other duties as assigned are essential, along with a willingness to travel up to 25%.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate, manage, and develop the ScionHealth brand and position the company and its affiliated brands within the marketplace.
  • Develop and execute internal communications strategies for the Company to ensure employee stakeholders across locations are reached effectively and consistently with relevant content.
  • Develop and implement external communications strategies including media relations, community and industry engagement, website, and social media.
  • Provide executive communications strategy and brand positioning guidance and support to the Chief Executive Officer and other executive leaders.
  • Lead crisis communications response for the Company and its hospitals, ensuring proper coordination with the appropriate internal and external parties.
  • Leverage research and data to develop marketing strategies at an enterprise and hospital level that drive growth, improve market share and enhance brand awareness.
  • Oversee key marketing functions including strategic planning, digital marketing, web and social strategies and creative services that support all hospitals and the Support Center.
  • Responsibility for development and management of corporate communications and marketing budgets.
  • Regular and reliable attendance; Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Journalism, Communications, Marketing or Public Relations related field.
  • 10+ years related experience, including 5+ years as functional leader.
