VP, Model Risk Management & Analytics

About the position

Lead effective collaboration, oversight, and visibility of risk program across the enterprise. Support and drive program development and execution. Identify and implement enhancements to overall enterprise risk management processes, including a variety of bank-wide governance activities, senior management and board committee reporting, and regular engagement with business unit leadership.

Responsibilities

• Manage end to end Model risk governance for all Axos Financial Models (both banks and securities)
• Responsible for Board presentations on Model related updates
• Represent MRM updates and point person for regulatory updates, as needed
• Maintain and Execute MRM Policy 1940 and all processes
• Work with Third Party partner to execute all Model Validations, communicate outcome, record deficiencies, and provide full governance around timely resolutions
• Responsible for Annual Attestations of Model by Axos business units as per OCC requirements
• Create and conduct required training about Model Risk Management Program
• Manage team of risk analysts and brings strong quant presence in the MRM team
• Work closely across Enterprise Risk Management and all lines of business to identify, monitor, and ensure actions related to risk assessments, applicable risks and controls, and key risk indicator monitoring are properly documented and tracked
• Lead risk assessment of enterprise-level risks, ensuring the quality documentation of risks, mitigants, and overall second-line point of view, including third-party risk assessments or model validations, as applicable
• Credibly challenge business unit assessments of their risk and control environment; provide clearly articulated written and verbal points of view
• Support the preparation of risk reports for Executive Management, Board Committees and Regulators, advising them of the organization's enterprise risk profile, independent view of credit risk profile, and the suitability of the risk management framework
• Advance program requirements within the Bank's GRC Risk System - RSA Archer.
