About the position

The Technical Product Manager will lead the Connectivity Engineering Team at Synchrony, focusing on delivering and modernizing connectivity solutions. This role requires strong communication skills and experience in a matrixed environment, working closely with technical engineering and development teams. The candidate will be responsible for evaluating and implementing new connectivity technologies, providing technical leadership, and aligning product strategies with business objectives.

Responsibilities

• Provide Technical Leadership, Strategy and Support for Business leaders and Product Owners
• Produce Technology Road Maps
• Define Product Strategy (Capability/Deployment)
• Develop Product Vision and continual product modernization
• Align Business Strategy with Product
• Manage Agile Teams and Epic Management
• Ensure Product Feature Adoption and Delivery Assurance
• Prioritize Product Features and Manage Costs
• Engage with Suppliers and Manage Issues
• Research, pilot, and test new connectivity products
• Assist product owners on technology road maps for Connectivity Engineering products
• Drive IaaC transformation and automation for supported product teams

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree OR high school diploma/GED with 10+ years of IT/Networking Experience
• 10+ years of experience in Enterprise Networking/Connectivity Solutions
• Agile Product Manager certification desired
• Cisco CCNP/CCDP certifications strongly desired

Nice-to-haves

• Strong technical background in Enterprise Networking/Connectivity Solutions
• Experience with DC switching and routing technologies (Cisco Nexus, ACI)
• Knowledge of Public Cloud Service Providers/Cloud connectivity (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Understanding of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Python 3.x, Ansible, and Terraform
• Familiarity with GIT source control management
• Experience in the credit card or financial services industry
