About the position

The Technical Product Manager will join the Connectivity Engineering Team at Synchrony Financial, focusing on providing technical leadership and strategy for connectivity solutions. This role requires strong communication skills and experience in a matrixed environment, with a proven track record in evaluating and delivering connectivity technology. The position involves collaboration across multiple teams to drive product modernization and ensure alignment with business objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Provide Technical Leadership, Strategy and Support for Business leaders and Product Owners
  • Produce Technology Road Maps
  • Define Product Strategy (Capability/Deployment)
  • Develop Product Vision and continual product modernization
  • Align Business Strategy with Product
  • Manage Agile Teams and Epic Management
  • Ensure Product Feature Adoption and Delivery Assurance
  • Prioritize Features and Manage Product Costs
  • Engage with Suppliers and manage issues
  • Provide Technology Guidance for product teams
  • Research, pilot, and test new connectivity products
  • Assist product owners on technology road maps
  • Engage with peer Product Managers for alignment
  • Drive IaaC transformation and automation for product teams

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or high school diploma/GED with 10+ years of IT/Networking Experience
  • 10+ years of experience in Enterprise Networking/Connectivity Solutions
  • Agile Product Manager certification desired
  • Cisco CCNP/CCDP certifications strongly desired
  • Strong technical background in Enterprise Networking/Connectivity Solutions
  • Experience with DC switching and routing technologies (Cisco Nexus, ACI)
  • Knowledge of Public Cloud Service Providers/Cloud connectivity (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Understanding of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Python 3.x, Ansible, and Terraform
  • Understanding of GIT source control management
  • Excellent analytical and presentation skills

  • Strong communication skills with external stakeholders
