About the position

The VP of Digital Markets at iHeartMedia is a pivotal role responsible for leading digital sales efforts across designated markets. This position requires collaboration with the sales team and the iHeart Digital Solutions team to create and sell integrated campaigns that utilize various assets such as Streaming Audio, Podcasts, Social Influencers, and OTT. The VP will manage the entire sales process from prospecting to closing deals, ensuring effective campaign maintenance and client relationship management to meet digital revenue goals. In this role, the VP will oversee digital revenue management, ensuring that assigned digital budgets are met or exceeded. This includes preparing budgets, forecasting revenue, and controlling digital sales expenses. The VP will also manage available digital advertising inventory to maximize profitability and set sales goals while guiding the goal-setting processes. The position requires translating market and digital business strategies into actionable plans that generate sales and revenue. The VP will be responsible for developing strategic digital sales solutions that integrate with iHeart's non-digital media assets, generating new business and deepening existing client relationships. Acting as a strategic resource for Sales Managers and Account Executives, the VP will facilitate client-facing meetings and ensure ongoing training and development specific to digital marketing. Collaboration with Digital Sales Engineers, Project Managers, and third-party ad tech partners is essential to ensure the successful planning, selling, executing, optimizing, and recapping of all digital sales campaigns. Additionally, the VP will assist the Sales Leadership team in recruiting and hiring digitally savvy sellers with established client bases and in-market relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Manage Digital revenue and be accountable for meeting/exceeding assigned Digital Budgets in assigned region/markets.
  • Oversee Digital Sales activities and processes including preparing budgets, revenue forecasting, and controlling digital sales expenses.
  • Manage available Digital advertising inventory to drive the most profitable sales.
  • Set sales goals and guide subsequent goal-setting processes.
  • Obtain, allocate, and adjust operations resources to achieve sales and service goals.
  • Translate market and Digital business strategies into specific actions to generate sales and revenue.
  • Develop strategic digital sales solutions that integrate with iHeart's additional non-digital media assets.
  • Generate new business/digital revenue and deepen existing client relationships.
  • Act as a strategic resource for Sales Managers, AEs, and clients in the assigned market and additional markets across the Region.
  • Serve as a constant liaison between sales, clients, and vendors.
  • Become an expert on digital product features and benefits including Ad Tagging, Rich Media, Data Sharing for attribution and effectiveness, Audience Targeting, Viewability Studies, and Systems.
  • Conduct client-facing meetings with AEs and Sales Managers.
  • Provide ongoing personal and team training and development specific to Digital marketing and iHeart's digital platform.
  • Work with Digital Sales Engineers, Project Managers, Operational Support, and 3rd Party ad tech partners to ensure proper planning, selling, executing, optimizing, and recapping of all Digital Sales campaigns.
  • Assist the Sales Leadership team in recruiting and hiring digitally savvy sellers with client bases and in-market relationships.
