About the position

The VP of Global Marketing and Communications will lead all marketing efforts for FUJIFILM Diosynth Biotechnologies (FDB) globally. This role involves collaborating with key stakeholders to enhance marketing strategy development and execution, particularly within the biotech/biopharma industry. The VP will be responsible for establishing best practices, driving global marketing strategy, and engaging with the commercial team and customers through innovative digital and multichannel marketing approaches. This position requires a combination of strategic vision and operational execution, with a focus on team leadership and accountability.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all internal and external marketing for FUJIFILM Diosynth Biotechnologies globally.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to enhance marketing strategy development and execution.
  • Establish best practices in marketing within the organization.
  • Drive the global marketing strategy and execution, including long-term strategic goals.
  • Elevate engagement with the commercial team and customers through digital and multichannel marketing.
  • Lead a team of 10-12 people globally, fostering creativity and accountability.
  • Establish and lead a central Business Value Stream function.
  • Attend conferences and act as a thought leader in the industry.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA preferred.
  • Minimum 10 years of marketing experience in technology or life sciences organizations.
  • Strong B-2-B marketing experience in the US market; global experience is a plus.
  • Minimum of five years of marketing leadership experience.
  • Experience in designing innovative marketing and communication strategies.
  • Ability to think strategically and analyze consumer and market insights.
  • Management experience in strategic and tactical planning, performance management, and project management.
  • Successful track record of leading and building strong teams.
  • Excellent oral, written, and presentation skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in the biotech/biopharma industry, specifically for a Contract Development Manufacturing Organization (CDMO).
  • Experience leveraging digital approaches for B-2-B engagement.
