About the position

The VP of Global Marketing and Communications will oversee all internal and external marketing for FUJIFILM Diosynth Biotechnologies (FDB). This role involves collaborating with key stakeholders to enhance marketing strategy development and execution, particularly within the biotech/biopharma industry. The VP will be responsible for driving the global marketing strategy, engaging with the commercial team, and establishing a coherent business value stream strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all internal and external marketing for FUJIFILM Diosynth Biotechnologies globally.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to enhance marketing strategy development and execution.
  • Drive the organization's global marketing strategy and execution, including long-term strategic goals.
  • Elevate engagement with the commercial team and customers through innovative digital and multichannel marketing approaches.
  • Lead a team of 10-12 people globally, fostering creativity and accountability within the team.
  • Establish and lead a central Business Value Stream function, focusing on maintaining a strong market position.
  • Act as a thought-leader by attending conferences and being accessible to clients.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA preferred.
  • Minimum 10 years of marketing experience in technology or life sciences organizations.
  • Strong B-2-B marketing experience in the US market; global experience is a plus.
  • Minimum of five years of marketing leadership experience.
  • Experience in designing innovative marketing and communication strategies, leveraging digital approaches.
  • Ability to think strategically and translate market insights into effective strategies.
  • Management experience in strategic and tactical planning, performance management, and project management.
  • Successful track record of leading and building strong teams and gaining internal alignment.
  • Excellent presentation, oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in the biotech/biopharma industry, specifically for a Contract Development Manufacturing Organization (CDMO).
  • Experience with digital marketing strategies and tools.
