About the position

The VP of Market Expansion at Blend is a pivotal role focused on engaging with new Tier 1 Ideal Customer Profiles (ICPs) to drive significant growth opportunities. This position is dedicated to prospecting and securing multi-million dollar deals with clients not currently engaged with Blend, ensuring a strategic approach to market penetration and innovation in sales. The VP will collaborate closely with various teams to identify key opportunities, craft tailored offerings, and establish executive connections to facilitate deal closures, ultimately aiming to fast-track substantial new business across all verticals.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with the SVP of Sales, Business Development, and Growth to select the next 10-20 Tier 1 targets.
  • Collaborate with the GTM team to identify key opportunities and translate them into quantifiable pipeline.
  • Work with Service Line leaders to craft offerings and secure engagement with stakeholders and decision-makers.
  • Ensure new logo customer readiness, including NDA/MSA completion.
  • Establish executive connections with the BD team or leadership to drive opportunities forward.
  • Pivot back to early-stage leads and prospects to qualify new opportunities and keep the pipeline replenished.
  • Identify, maintain, and fast-track $10-20M in new active opportunities across all verticals.
  • Support growth opportunities in Horizon 2 and efforts to enter global conglomerates.

Requirements

  • Over 15 years of experience in selling and delivering projects/strategy/advisory, business intelligence & technology.
  • Deep industry knowledge in data, AI, and enterprise technology solutions.
  • Proven ability to sell enterprise-level solutions and navigate obstacles effectively.
  • Strong communication skills to present to C-level executives and technology teams.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills to address complex challenges.
  • Ability to assess the impact of proposed solutions on clients' strategy and business outcomes.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with CRM tools like Salesforce or HubSpot for managing customer relationships.
  • Familiarity with sales analytics and using metrics to optimize processes.
