About the position

The VP of Product, Lending at Earnest is a strategic leadership role focused on advancing the company's mission to make higher education accessible and affordable. This position involves leading the development and expansion of lending products that empower students to manage their debt effectively while driving growth and enhancing customer experiences across various financial products.

Responsibilities

• Lead the current at-scale, revenue-driving student lending products.
• Develop and expand the Lending Platform to ensure efficient customer experiences.
• Bring new lending and financial products to market that support students and young professionals.
• Partner with teams including Credit, Data Science, Capital Markets, Customer Happiness & Marketing to create cohesive product experiences.
• Drive rapid growth in customer numbers and product offerings.

Requirements

• 12+ years of experience in Product Management or related roles in leading technology companies.
• 7+ years of experience in building, developing, and leading teams.
• Experience managing lending and financial products from launch to maturity.
• Proven track record in developing and executing product and business strategies that drive growth.
• Experience in customer discovery, MVP definition, feature testing, and product launch.
• Ability to set success metrics and analyze product data and customer feedback.
• Experience leading teams of product managers and shaping them into high-performing units.
• Experience in building consumer products.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in the Fintech lending space or with products involving significant financial risk.
• Experience with predictive models in customer experience, including personalization and algorithmic recommendations.
• Experience in setting an overall roadmap for a company or division.
