About the position

The Vice President of Sales for McKesson Health Systems (MHS) is responsible for leading a team of field sales professionals, managing strategic customer relationships, and driving the adoption of value-added services and solutions. This role focuses on customer retention and achieving sales and financial goals while fostering a culture of growth and empowerment within the team.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and communicate strategic sales and marketing plans to grow market share and revenue.
  • Lead account management and sales team to execute corporate and strategic plans.
  • Drive penetration of McKesson products and services relevant to the MHS customer base.
  • Achieve superior customer satisfaction through effective sales and customer service programs.
  • Collaborate with the VP of Renewal on market renewals.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers to ensure business retention.
  • Provide technical account management and sales training to staff.
  • Participate in the development of financial statements for the customer market.
  • Manage the budget within EBIT/AOP & PBT goals and adjust forecasts as needed.
  • Attract and retain talent through effective recruitment and development practices.
  • Provide leadership for skills training initiatives for management and employees.
  • Represent the health systems segment sales market within corporate contexts.

Requirements

  • 12+ years of sales and account management experience, including at least 4 years of managerial experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in complex selling skills.
  • Ability to foster a creative and productive working environment.
  • Experience in developing strategic sales and marketing plans.
  • Proven track record of leading high-performing teams with coaching and mentoring.
  • Strong financial and business acumen.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
