About the position

The Vice President of Operational Compliance at Kind Lending, LLC is responsible for overseeing compliance across the organization, conducting risk assessments, and providing strategic recommendations to enhance compliance. This role involves designing training programs, promoting compliance awareness, and collaborating with operational and technology teams to align compliance with business objectives. The VP will lead a team of compliance professionals and participate in cross-functional initiatives to integrate compliance into business processes.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor, measure, and report compliance results across the organization.
  • Conduct regular compliance risk assessments and audits to identify potential areas of non-compliance.
  • Provide strategic recommendations to mitigate risks and enhance compliance posture.
  • Design and deliver compliance training programs for employees at all levels.
  • Promote awareness of compliance issues and responsibilities throughout the organization.
  • Work closely with operational teams and technology teams to align compliance efforts with business objectives.
  • Lead and mentor a team of compliance professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
  • Participate in cross-functional initiatives to ensure compliance is integrated into business processes.
  • Manage consumer complaints and resolutions.
  • Coordinate technology solutions supporting compliance requirements.
  • Monitor compliance in marketing and social media activities.
  • Conduct compliance monitoring and self-assessments, including state exam findings and internal audit action plans.
  • Develop and implement compliance training, including annual executive training.
  • Audit federal and state documents and disclosures.
  • Measure effectiveness of regulatory enhancements to compliance technology.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Law, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in regulatory compliance within the mortgage or financial services industry.
  • Strong knowledge of mortgage regulations and compliance frameworks.
  • Proven track record in developing and implementing effective compliance programs.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Team player mentality with a willingness to work in a fast-paced environment.
