About the position

The VP of Operations at Sonova is responsible for overseeing the entire Order Entry, Production, Service, and Supply Chain operations at the Aurora Operations & Distribution Center. This role involves strategic planning, budget management, and collaboration with various functional teams to ensure operational excellence and continuous improvement in all key areas. The VP will also play a crucial role in leadership, performance management, and succession planning within the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Direct responsibility of the Aurora Operations & Distribution Center (AODC) production, service and supply chain.
  • Accountable for planning and execution of the budget and all financial activities at AODC, including data management and reporting.
  • Provides vision and leadership in identifying the next generation of order entry and warehouse/shipping operations.
  • Responsible for planning, assigning and directing activities for direct and indirect reports, appraising performance, rewarding and addressing performance issues, and resolving complaints.
  • Ensures that distribution capabilities meet or exceed all industry and customer requirements for cost, quality and responsiveness as the company grows.
  • Oversees and drives continuous improvement in all key areas of the operation including safety, quality, cost, delivery and employee engagement.
  • Applies progressive quality process audits, policy deployments and other proactive quality management practices.
  • Determines the resources, skills, and structure needed for the operations organization to achieve business objectives.
  • Encourages and ensures career development and succession planning discussions.
  • Participates as a member of the senior management team.

Requirements

  • BA / BS Degree in Business, Management, Engineering, or related discipline.
  • Minimum 7 years of management experience in the Hearing Aid industry preferred or related management experience in order management or distribution/warehousing.
  • Prior SAP experience highly preferred.
  • Prior experience managing a diverse team of employees with varying skills and proficiencies.
  • A minimum of 200Mb/sec download and 10Mb/sec upload speed internet connectivity is required.
