About the position

The Technology Lead Business Analyst is a senior-level position responsible for acting as a bridge between business users and technologists, ensuring that information is exchanged in a concise, logical, and understandable manner. This role is crucial in coordinating with the Technology team to achieve the overall objective of continuous iterative exploration and investigation of business performance and other measures. The successful candidate will contribute to business planning by developing creative technical solutions that meet business needs and managing complex, high-volume applications in partnership with business partners and stakeholders. In this role, the analyst will manage multiple work streams and applications across various geographies, specifically focusing on Credit Initiation and Onboarding. They will play a key role in formulating strategies and processes for the Product Roadmap, Development, and Governance, while also contributing to defining standards and new automation initiatives. Effective communication is essential, as the analyst will need to guide, influence, and convince others, including colleagues in different areas and external customers. Additionally, the analyst will provide advice and counsel related to technology or operations, filtering, prioritizing, and validating complex material from multiple sources. Day-to-day staff management issues will also fall under their purview, including resource management, work allocation, and mentoring of both onsite and offsite resources. The analyst must appropriately assess risks when making business decisions, demonstrating a strong consideration for the firm's reputation and compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations. This includes applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior and business practices, as well as managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

Responsibilities

  • Develop creative technical solutions to meet business needs and manage complex, high volume applications in partnership with business partners and stakeholders
  • Manage multiple work streams and applications across geographies for Credit Initiation and Onboarding
  • Contribute to formulation of strategies/processes for Product Roadmap, Development, and Governance and contribute to defining standards and new automation initiatives
  • Develop communication to guide, influence and convince others, including colleagues in other areas and external customers
  • Provide advice and counsel related to the technology or operations of the business and filter, prioritize and validate potentially complex material from multiple sources
  • Supervise day-to-day staff management issues, including resource management, work allocation, mentoring of onsite and offsite resources and other duties and functions as assigned
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations.

Requirements

  • 6-10 years of experience in business analysis or systems analysis
  • Demonstrated expertise in presenting and using planning tools
  • Proven diplomatic and analytical skills
  • Proven ability to manage complex and variable issues with substantial potential impact by weighing various action plans and balancing potentially conflicting needs
  • Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience
  • Master's degree preferred
