About the position

The Vice President (VP) Program Manager will oversee the multi-year Service Talent Transformation Program (STTP) at LPL Financial, focusing on enhancing the quality of service provided to financial advisors. This role involves leading a comprehensive program that transforms various aspects of the Service department, including hiring, onboarding, training, and performance management. The VP will be responsible for ensuring effective execution across multiple workstreams and providing thought leadership to drive the program's success.

Responsibilities

  • Provide thought leadership and refine the vision for the Service Talent Transformation Program in partnership with Service Leadership and Human Resources.
  • Create the operating structure and reporting guidelines for all levels of program execution including Steer Co, Advisory Board, and Workstream levels.
  • Oversee and support all Work Stream Leads, driving accountability for execution and assisting in navigating complexities.
  • Manage cross-workstream and cross-functional forums to identify leverage points and resolve problems.
  • Develop and deliver executive-ready program status communications, including presentations for Steer Co and board-level opportunities.
  • Ensure overall program effectiveness in terms of scope, delivery, and budget.
  • Continuously scan for best practices and ideas from industry forums and competitive analysis.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in financial services driving large-scale transformational initiatives; management consulting experience also valued.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to develop structured plans and measurable metrics.
  • Excellent communication skills to partner effectively and influence key decisions.
  • Ability to build presentations that convey a clear story supported by data findings.
  • Comfortable in ambiguous situations; self-starter and self-learner.
  • Multi-tasking skills with the ability to manage complex deliverables and meet strict deadlines.
  • Exceptional program management skills and attention to detail.
