About the position
The Head of Revenue Cycle Management at Heartland Dental is responsible for leading and transforming revenue operations across over 2,000 locations. This role combines strategic leadership with hands-on operational management to optimize business performance through advanced technology solutions, including AI and automation. The position requires extensive collaboration with senior leaders and focuses on driving innovation and operational excellence in revenue cycle management.
Responsibilities
- Serve as Product Owner for insurance verification systems and lead implementation of AI-driven eligibility verification solutions
- Drive operational excellence in revenue cycle processes, from doctor credentialing to ultimate collection
- Optimize accounts receivable management and point-of-service collections
- Enhance doctor onboarding experience through streamlined credentialing and accreditation processes
- Implement and manage modern patient financial engagement platforms
- Lead and develop RCM staff while driving productivity through automation
- Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations
- Participate in strategic growth initiatives and practice integrations
Requirements
- 5+ years experience in healthcare revenue cycle management, preferably in dental or multi-location healthcare settings
- Strong track record of implementing technology solutions and process improvements
- Experience managing large-scale operations and cross-functional teams
- Knowledge of healthcare payment systems, insurance, and regulatory requirements
- Proven ability to drive organizational change and achieve measurable results
- Ability to travel 30%, sometimes on short notice
