About the position

The VP, Segments - Mid Markets at Lumen is a visionary leadership role responsible for setting strategy and driving execution for the Mid Markets product segment. This position involves engaging stakeholders to align on actionable product strategies that deliver optimal results for customers and the company. The role requires identifying opportunities for improvement and incorporating new product features to meet customer needs, while ensuring collaboration between segments and product owners.

Responsibilities

  • Complete accountability for the success and growth of the Mid Markets (MM) product segment including owning and driving a strong P&L.
  • Set strategies and guide the product roadmap, considering the overall business and GTM strategy.
  • Collaborate with product teams, sales, marketing, service delivery, and other key ecosystem partners to develop requirements and drive best in class product experience for customers.
  • Create product solutions and collaborate with cross-functional partners on how to 'productize' the solution.
  • Define, monitor, and improve all key product segment metrics including adoption, customer net promoter score (NPS), and volume of leads.
  • Prioritize the product roadmap for the MM segment based on market research and customer feedback.
  • Monitor and analyze market research and trends to inform strategy and decisions for the MM segment.
  • Evangelize the Mid Markets segment vision through innovation and delivery.
  • Ensure clear communication between the Mid Markets segment and GTM & Business Operations functions.
  • Lead the identification of and capitalization on emerging opportunities within the MM segment.

Requirements

  • BS degree, preferably in Business or a related field.
  • 15+ years of leadership or experience in the Mid Markets product segments.
  • Proven track record of launching successful products in MM through a blend of technical, creative, business, and marketing skills.
  • Superior communication, leadership, team building, and people management skills.
  • Ability to prioritize among competing requests and articulate rationale behind decisions.
  • Versatile team player with strong communication and presentation skills.
