AECOM is seeking a highly experienced and results-oriented practice/market leader for its national data center practice to lead AECOM's growth in this sector. This is an excellent opportunity for a driven and experienced leader to grow a multidisciplinary, multi-national team, leveraging the breadth of AECOM's global capabilities. This leader will have the ability to take what has already been built and organize, grow, and take it to new levels of service and revenue. The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the high quality, timely, and profitable delivery of the US national data center due diligence and design project portfolio. The successful candidate will influence and implement a US data center market strategy, utilizing AECOM's global teams and capabilities. They will manage or provide oversight on a portfolio of projects or programs of significant size and complexity, and significant financial impact. Additionally, the leader will be responsible for leading and growing the data center due diligence, design, and construction administration team and practice. Collaboration is key in this role, as the leader will work closely with AECOM's Global and Regional Market Sector Leaders across various regions to share resources, augment capabilities, and bring the best of AECOM to each project. The position also involves hiring new staff and cross-training existing staff to deliver data center due diligence and design projects, fostering a culture of trust, accountability, leadership, and ownership within the team. The leader will also be tasked with growing existing clients in partnership with global technology market sector leaders and technology client account managers, participating in and helping drive innovation workstreams to differentiate AECOM and address market changes, challenges, and opportunities. This includes overseeing the production of winning proposals, preparing and leading client presentations and interviews, and refining existing delivery strategies to improve predictability, quality, and efficiency. The role serves as a point of escalation for all US data center client issues and collaborates with various business lines to create synergies with AECOM's construction management, commissioning, and quantity surveying practices. Building US relationships with senior leaders at global data center companies is also a critical aspect of this position, alongside attracting and securing new data center clients and building the opportunity pipeline. Travel may be required as needed to support project, client, and team needs.
