About the position

The VPSE C2L-PHL Data Analyst position at the University of Pennsylvania is focused on supporting various programs and initiatives within the Vice Provost for Student Engagement (VPSE). The role involves managing and analyzing student data, program reports, and evaluation metrics to facilitate informed decision-making processes. The analyst will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and timely management of data related to student applications, enrollments, and evaluations, contributing to the overall goals of the Career Connected Learning initiative in Philadelphia.

Responsibilities

  • Collect, analyze, and maintain program-related data, ensuring the accuracy of applications, enrollments, attendance, and evaluations.
  • Utilize data management tools such as Qualtrics, Power BI, and Excel to manage data collection.
  • Provide technical support for data systems and create visualizations and reports to enhance program analysis and decision-making.
  • Oversee program logistics, student engagement initiatives, and data processes.
  • Assist in the creation of reports on program outcomes and student performance.
  • Collaborate with leadership to ensure the seamless integration of student services and data.
  • Align data management practices with program goals in collaboration with administrators and external partners.
  • Monitor and track attendance and performance data for students and GA assignments.
  • Ensure data integrity and maintain effective communication with key stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science and 2 to 3 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
  • Master's Degree in the fields Information Technology, Data Management, and/or Data Analysis preferred.
  • Proficiency in platform systems, including Open Canvas, Qualtrics, Student Access, and Microsoft Teams.
  • Experience with data analysis tools such as R Studio, Power BI, Python, and Excel.
  • Proven ability to handle large datasets and generate insightful reports.
  • Strong organizational skills, with a focus on detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Nice-to-haves

  • Previous experience in program coordination or student engagement roles is preferred.
