About the position

The Business Analyst/Consultant IV role is a senior position focused on analyzing and documenting business systems and processes, particularly in the context of web applications. The candidate will work closely with both business and technical teams to ensure that business processes are effectively mapped to system assets, facilitating system transformation efforts from mainframe to web-based systems. This position requires strong communication skills and the ability to work independently on complex tasks.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and document complex business and software systems.
• Support the analysis and documentation of asset inventories for existing software and systems.
• Assist with system transformation efforts, ensuring business processes are mapped to supporting system assets.
• Work with subject matter experts (SMEs) to document links between assets and business processes.
• Document important metadata associated with assets to streamline system transformation.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience with business systems analysis.
• 10+ years of experience documenting complex business and software systems.
• Demonstrated communication experience, working with business and technical teams.

Nice-to-haves

• Familiarity with source code repository tools for discovering interfaces utilized by web application systems.
• Tech writing experience, focusing on communication between business and technical needs.
• Ability to understand, update, and create process diagrams in Visio.
