About the position

The Software Engineer will design, develop, and support existing applications, primarily collaborating with the team lead and business users to gather requirements. This role focuses on building back-end services for data-centric clinical and analytic applications, ensuring they adhere to uptime and accuracy targets while being resilient and scalable. The engineer will work closely with various teams to develop applications that leverage cloud computing, big data, and machine learning, participating in DevOps and Agile processes.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and support existing applications.
• Collaborate with team lead and business users to gather requirements.
• Build back-end services for data-centric clinical and analytic applications.
• Ensure cloud-based micro-services adhere to uptime and accuracy targets.
• Work closely with data engineering, platform, and solutions teams.
• Translate requirements into code with Product Owners and Managers.
• Participate in DevOps, Agile, continuous development, and integration frameworks.
• Automate deployment and configuration management using various tools.
• Document processes and source code effectively.
• Troubleshoot and resolve problems through root cause analysis.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in software development and support using Java, Spring Framework, HTML, Javascript, and JQuery.
• At least 5 years of experience in relational databases, including SQL, preferably Oracle.
• Experience in integrating systems using REST APIs, preferably on the Apigee platform.
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/Engineering or related field.
• Demonstrated problem-solving and time management skills.
• Strong technical aptitude for designing and implementing software solutions.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience working with Agile Scrum processes.
• Experience with Microsoft ADO, Build pipeline, etc.
• Experience with Google BigQuery.
• Ability to use a wide variety of open-source technologies and cloud-based services.
• Experience in databases, analytics, big data systems, or business intelligence products.
• Experience developing software for healthcare-related industries.
