About the position

The Quality Assurance Analyst III will be an integral part of the School Nutrition team, focusing on ensuring the quality and functionality of software applications. This role requires a seasoned professional with a minimum of eight years of software testing experience, specifically in the areas of unit, system, and integration testing. The analyst will be responsible for developing comprehensive test plans, writing detailed test scenarios, and creating use cases and other related documentation to support the testing process. Additionally, the analyst will document issues and bugs, providing necessary artifacts to the development team to facilitate timely resolutions. The position involves performing end-to-end application testing, which includes load testing and regression testing, to ensure that applications meet user requirements and adhere to established guidelines. The Quality Assurance Analyst III will utilize a variety of testing tools to execute functional, integration, back-end, regression, and user acceptance testing. The role also includes developing technical procedures, methodologies, metrics, checklists, and standards to enhance the quality assurance process. The analyst will evaluate software development procedures to verify that programs function according to user requirements and conform to organizational standards. In this position, the analyst will work closely with the School Nutrition Team Director, who will monitor project progress to ensure timely delivery. The analyst will be expected to independently perform a variety of tasks, relying on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected in this role, as the analyst will identify best practices and recommend program improvements or corrections to programmers based on evaluations of program output and adherence to quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute test plans, scenarios, cases, and scripts using various testing tools.
  • Perform functional, integration, back-end, regression, and user acceptance testing.
  • Document issues and bugs with supporting artifacts for the development team.
  • Evaluate software development procedures to ensure compliance with user requirements and guidelines.
  • Identify and apply best practices in software testing and quality assurance.
  • Develop technical procedures, methodologies, metrics, checklists, and standards for quality assurance.
  • Review new or modified programs, including documentation and specifications, to ensure they meet user requests and guidelines.
  • Recommend program improvements or corrections to programmers based on evaluations of program output.

Requirements

  • Eight or more years of software testing experience as a Quality Assurance analyst, including unit, system, and integration testing.
  • Ability to create test plans, write test scenarios, use cases, and other related documents.
  • Experience working in .NET, JAVA, and MS SQL Server database environments.
  • Ability to perform end-to-end application testing, including load testing and regression testing.
