About the position

Come join a great team at PIC as a Journeyman Industrial Electrician in Washington/Oregon. This position involves a variety of responsibilities related to the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electrical equipment in an industrial setting. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical work, particularly in industrial environments, and will be expected to work long hours and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for installing or removing electrical equipment, industrial motors, fans, and industrial equipment.
• Knowledge of working with packaging equipment, roofing equipment, and paper mill equipment.
• Assist with the checkout and startup of equipment.
• Utilize every tool used in the installation of electrical equipment.
• Wire machines and electrical panels according to prints or notes taken.
• Troubleshoot and identify problems, providing corrections as needed.
• Interpret blueprints and schematics.
• Use a variety of tools and diagnostic meters to service and install electrical components.

Requirements

• Must have a valid Washington/Oregon Journeyman Electricians License.
• Experience as an electrician in an industrial environment.
• Knowledge of PLC Controls is a plus.
• Excellent understanding of safety rules in an industrial setting is a must.
• Ability to travel and work long hours, including weekends.
• Strong electrical/mechanical, analytical, and solution-driven skills.
• Excellent communication skills to receive and give directions.
• Experience in automation, conveyors, and other industrial equipment.
• Possess state certification or equivalent qualification or license.
• Ability to schedule and balance priorities, with a strong adherence to deadlines.
• Customer service skills to relate and work with diverse individuals.

Nice-to-haves

• Knowledge of PLC Controls is a plus.
• Strong electrical/mechanical, analytical, and solution-driven skills is a plus.
