About the position

As a Wait Assistant at CRAVE American Kitchen & Sushi Bar, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our guests have a delightful dining experience. Your primary responsibilities will include maintaining cleanliness in the dining area, assisting guests with their needs, and supporting the overall operations of the restaurant. You will be expected to clean and clear tables promptly, bring water to newly seated guests, and deliver food efficiently. Additionally, you will carry dishes and tableware to the kitchen for cleaning, scrape dishes, and organize them in the dishwasher area. Your role will also involve cleaning and polishing various surfaces in the restaurant, including counters, shelves, and furniture, to maintain a welcoming environment. In this fast-paced role, you will need to interact with guests and staff in a friendly and efficient manner, ensuring that every guest feels valued and satisfied. You will be responsible for treating guests with the utmost respect and striving to exceed their expectations. Reporting to work in a neat and clean uniform is essential, as well as maintaining good personal hygiene and grooming. Teamwork is vital at CRAVE, and you will work closely with all personnel to create an effective atmosphere and ensure smooth food and beverage service. Other duties may be assigned as needed, contributing to the overall success of the restaurant.

Responsibilities

• Clean and clear the tables in the dining area.
• Bring glasses of water to newly seated guests and refill water.
• Deliver food to the guests.
• Carry dishes and other tableware to kitchens for cleaning.
• Scrape the dishes, separate the silver, and stack the dishes in the dishwasher area.
• Clean and polish counters, shelves, walls, furniture, or equipment in food service areas or other areas of restaurants.
• Clean up spilled food or drink or broken dishes and remove empty bottles and trash.
• Maintain specific side-work and ensure the total cleanliness and smooth operation of the restaurant.
• Interact with guests and staff in a friendly and fast manner.
• Treat guests in a manner to ensure their complete satisfaction.
• Report to work in a neat and clean uniform.
• Work as a team with all CRAVE's personnel to maintain an effective atmosphere and efficient food and beverage service.

Requirements

• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work well with others and independently.
• Ability to organize and multi-task.
• Knowledge of proper etiquette for table clearing is a plus.
