About the position

The Wait Staff position at The Residence at Timber Pines is a part-time role focused on providing exceptional dining experiences for residents and guests in a senior living community. The Server will assist in all Culinary Department functions, ensuring meals are served in accordance with established policies and procedures, while delivering Platinum Service with each interaction.

Responsibilities

  • Serve meals that are palatable and appetizing in appearance.
  • Serve food in accordance with established portion control procedures.
  • Prepare cold food items such as salad dressings and fruit trays.
  • Follow sanitary regulations at all times.
  • Provide Platinum Service with each dining experience.
  • Set up meal trays, food carts, and the dining room with necessary utensils and condiments.
  • Assist in checking resident trays before distribution.
  • Deliver food carts and trays to designated areas.
  • Pour hot and cold beverages for residents.
  • Assist residents with opening their containers and condiments as needed.
  • Prepare and deliver snacks to special events and parties hosted at the community.
  • Bus tables during and after meals.
  • Stock food and supplies properly and clean storage areas as directed.
  • Provide support services to other dining rooms during events and activities as needed.
  • Attend trainings and employee meetings as directed by Supervisor(s).
  • Clean and follow daily cleaning tasks.

Requirements

  • Capable of performing the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodations.
  • Ability to understand and communicate written and verbal directions.
  • Regular attendance, reliability, and punctuality is necessary.
  • Outstanding customer service skills.
  • Well organized with excellent attention to detail.
  • Aptitude to work independently with excellent time management skills.
  • Previous serving and/or hospitality experience preferred.
