About the position
Solstice Senior Living at Plano is seeking a professional and reliable Waitstaff / Dishwasher (Utility worker) to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and sanitation of all dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment, serving meals, and clearing tables after meal service. This role requires a high level of attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The Waitstaff / Dishwasher will play a critical role in maintaining the high standards of our dining services and ensuring a positive experience for our residents.
Responsibilities
- Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, or pans, using a dishwasher or by hand
- Maintain kitchen work areas, equipment, or utensils in a clean and orderly condition
- Place clean dishes, utensils, or cooking equipment in storage areas
- Sort and remove trash, placing it in designated pickup areas
- Assist with food preparation or other tasks as needed
- Assist with meal service and clean up after meal service
Requirements
- 1 year of Wait Staff- or Dishwasher experience preferred
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
- Ability to read, write, and speak English language
- Must be at least 18 years of age when required by State regulations
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends, evenings and holidays
- Food Handlers permit (we can help with this)
- Knowledge of proper sanitation and safety procedures
Benefits
- Base pay range of $15.00 - $16.00 per hour
