About the position

The Walmart Sales Operations Manager will play a crucial role in managing business operations and supporting the Walmart team from a consumer-centric perspective. This position involves building key processes and standard operating procedures to drive sales through strategic customer management, acting as the main point of contact for internal and external teams, and ensuring effective account/vendor management.

Responsibilities

  • Help build out processes and standard operating procedures in our Walmart account to ensure the team is successfully managing the business and operations.
  • Consistently assess workload planning and team, identifying opportunities to streamline and improve.
  • Drive the process to set customer requirements and expectations; setting timelines, costs, and operational solutions pro-actively to appropriate departments.
  • Confirm Vendor Guides for new customer onboarding and continued compliance of customer requirements.
  • Monitor and communicate across the organization and maintain in the system.
  • Follow up with the internal team to track existing and upcoming orders for the season.
  • Ensure pricing is updated in the system and communicate to account coordinators/stakeholders for alignment, maintaining information in Retail Link and Netsuite.
  • Communicate and coordinate change of sourcing or factories - updating systems, pricing, etc.
  • Touch base with all stakeholders and liaise with external partners on a regular basis for alignment.
  • Build and maintain strategic relationships and contacts in the industry to continually identify key opportunities for improvement and industry trends.
  • Attend all Walmart meetings; take ownership of recaps and follow ups.
  • Manage sample inventory and coordination.

Requirements

  • 4-6 years management experience in sales, customer service, operations, logistics and/or account coordination.
  • Experience with Retail Link and Luminate.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills, with a proven track record multi-tasking in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with an ability to work effectively across different levels and departments within the organization.
  • Pro-active self-starter, disciplined, solution-oriented with a strong attention to detail.
  • Previous experience with Microsoft Office, EDI, ERP systems, NetSuite experience a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree or secondary degree a plus.
