WAP- Mechanical Maintenance Technician-all shifts-Willmar, MN- Jennie-O

About the position

The Mechanical Maintenance Technician at Jennie-O Turkey Store in Willmar, MN, is responsible for performing electrical troubleshooting and general maintenance tasks on various equipment. This role involves working independently and as part of a team to ensure the efficient operation of mechanical systems, adhering to safety regulations, and contributing to emergency response efforts when necessary.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical troubleshooting and general maintenance tasks, including PMs on equipment per area assigned.
• Perform other duties assigned by Supervisors.
• Assist other team members in completing work orders/task per maintenance schedule.
• May be part of the Emergency Response team.
• Diagnose and perform repairs, calibrations on electromechanical and solid state of the art equipment.
• Adhere to all NEC code regulations accordingly.
• Conduct morning bench scale repairs.

Requirements

• Ability to work independently to complete assigned tasks in an efficient manner.
• Ability to troubleshoot electrical/electronic components as well as read schematics in various departments.
• May be required to lift in excess of 40 lbs. at times.
• Has general understanding of plant power and utility layouts.
• Ability to read/write/communicate in English.
• Work experience pertaining to electrical field of 1 year or greater.
• Ability to use multimeters and electronic test equipment, read schematics and diagrams.
