About the position

The Ware Project Senior Developer is a technical and analytical role focused on designing, developing, implementing, and supporting the client Ware Project (AWP). This position collaborates with business analysts and technical staff to deliver functionality for AWP Preconstruction and CRL modules in an agile environment. The role requires a strong understanding of programming and analysis, with responsibilities including system administration, report writing, automated testing, and configuration development. The position is critical for maintaining support for applications and requires availability during standard business hours.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, implement, and support the client Ware Project (AWP).
• Collaborate with business analysts and technical staff to deliver required functionality for AWP Preconstruction and CRL modules.
• Perform system administration, report writing, automated testing, and configuration development.
• Translate business user specifications to configure COTS applications.
• Evaluate and analyze AWP with requirements and make recommendations based on technical expertise.
• Demonstrate best practices in coding and security.
• Execute technical work using best practices, including GIT for source code maintenance.

Requirements

• 5 years of experience in programming and analysis work.
• 5 years of knowledge in SQL, C#, .NET, Python, PowerShell, and command line.
• 5 years of knowledge of best practices in coding and security.
• 5 years of ability to work well in a team.
• 3 years of ability to clearly explain technical processes to team members.
• 3 years of experience in reviewing and translating business user specifications.
• 2 years of experience working with client customers.
• 5 years of ability to execute technical work using best practices.

Nice-to-haves

• 3 years of understanding of AASHTOWare Project out of the box tools & processes.
• 3 years of ability to evaluate and analyze client Ware Project with requirements.
• 3 years of technical expertise in specific client Ware Project functions and DOT business processes.
• 3 years of understanding of the client Ware Project data model and using the Interactive Data Model tool.
• 3 years of ability to recommend development of and demonstrate best use of appropriate testing protocols.
• 2 years of knowledge of automated testing for application upgrades.
