About the position

Air General is seeking a Warehouse Cargo Agent to join our team at the Houston George Bush Intercontinental Airport. This full-time position involves various warehouse duties including cargo handling, documentation, and providing excellent customer service. The role requires the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of warehouse activities.

Responsibilities

• Operate a forklift, tug, and pallet jack
• Process customer paperwork and shipping information
• Load/unload air cargo from/to vehicles/trucks
• Prepare, palletize, and/or breakdown cargo as needed
• Ensure paperwork related to the cargo is accurate
• Assure proper handling and delivery of cargo
• Clean up and sweep warehouse, dispose of garbage
• Maintain safe operation of warehouse vehicles and equipment
• Follow Hazmat and Security Requirements and Regulations
• Perform all other duties as assigned by supervisor/management

Requirements

• Must be able to pass all pre-employment screenings, background checks, and airport/government security background checks
• Must be able to pass a drug test
• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Must possess a valid Driver's License
• Must be able to obtain valid airport I.D. badge
• Must be able to push, pull or lift up to 70lbs
• Must have basic computer skills
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Must possess the ability to read, write, fluently speak and understand the English language
• Must be available to work varied shifts, including nights, and occasionally on weekends, and holidays
