About the position
The Warehouse Agent position at JFK Airport involves processing cargo as it arrives or departs from planes and trucks. This role is critical in maintaining a safe and secure environment by adhering to warehouse best practices. The Warehouse Agent will work closely with screeners to ensure that packages and boxes are properly handled, including placing them onto x-ray machines for security checks. The position requires the ability to open shrink wrap to unload packages and to shrink wrap pallets for unloading. A significant aspect of the job is the physical demand, as agents must be able to lift packages weighing over 50 pounds. The job is not limited to specific tasks, as responsibilities may evolve over time, and employees must be adaptable to changes in duties and responsibilities. The role requires a flexible schedule, as agents may be required to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays. Agents must be prepared to work outdoors in all weather conditions and must be able to follow detailed procedures meticulously. Dependability, strong integrity, and emotional control are essential traits for success in this position. The job also emphasizes the importance of being on one's feet for extended periods, typically up to 8 hours a day. Candidates will have the opportunity to receive their Security Guard License through the company, which is a licensed Security Guard Company and Security Guard Training school. Full work uniforms will be provided for all positions, ensuring that agents are appropriately dressed for their roles.
Responsibilities

Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Legal right to work in the United States.
- Dependable and able to follow detailed procedures.
- Strong integrity, ethics, and emotional control.
- Ability to work in all weather conditions.
- Must be able to stand for 8 hours a day.
