About the position

As a Warehouse and Internal Supply Chain Manager at Booz Allen Hamilton, you will play a pivotal role in developing, implementing, and managing supply chain streams and solutions, with a strong emphasis on internal warehouse operations, shipping, receiving, and production scheduling processes. This position requires you to apply leading-edge principles, theories, and concepts to address unusually complex problems, providing highly innovative solutions to enhance internal supply chain production processes. You will operate with substantial latitude for unreviewed action or decision-making, and you will also have the opportunity to mentor or supervise employees in both firm and technical competencies. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire supply chain process, ensuring that all operations run smoothly and efficiently. You will collaborate closely with various teams, including Procurement, Production, Quality, and Engineering, to optimize production and ensure that the necessary supplies and materials are sourced effectively. Your ability to create and track key performance indicators will be crucial in reporting on supply chain performance and driving continuous improvement initiatives. The position requires a strong background in warehouse management within a manufacturing environment, as well as experience in sourcing and procurement planning. You will need to demonstrate knowledge of MRP/ERP implementation and inventory accuracy improvement concepts, along with the ability to apply Lean Manufacturing principles to warehouse operations. Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage supply chain streams and solutions focusing on internal warehouse operations.
  • Oversee shipping, receiving, and production scheduling processes.
  • Provide innovative solutions to complex internal supply chain production problems.
  • Mentor and supervise employees in both firm and technical competencies.
  • Collaborate with Procurement, Production, Quality, and Engineering teams to optimize production.
  • Create and track key performance indicators for supply chain performance.
  • Plan and execute sourcing of required supplies and materials.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in warehouse management in a manufacturing environment.
  • 4+ years of experience in sourcing and procurement planning in a manufacturing environment, and in using MRP systems.
  • 3+ years of experience in production control or production scheduling.
  • Knowledge of MRP/ERP implementation, planning, and execution, and inventory accuracy improvement concepts.
  • Ability to apply Lean Manufacturing concepts to warehouse, shipping, and receiving operations.
  • Ability to create and track key performance indicators to report on supply chain performance.
  • Ability to plan and execute the sourcing of required quantities of supplies and materials to optimize production.
  • Ability to collaborate with other teams including Procurement, Production, Quality, and Engineering.
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree.
