About the position

The Warehouse and Inventory Manager is responsible for overseeing inventory levels, implementing control systems, and ensuring efficient warehouse operations. This role involves coordinating order processing, managing returns, and collaborating with suppliers to optimize stock replenishment. The manager will also supervise warehouse staff, generate reports on inventory and operational efficiency, and utilize inventory management software to maintain data integrity, all while ensuring compliance with safety regulations and fostering a positive team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor inventory levels and ensure accurate stock counts.
  • Implement inventory control systems to minimize discrepancies.
  • Assist in determining min/max and reorder points for inventory stock levels.
  • Cycle counting based on procedures for the organization.
  • Investigate inventory discrepancies to determine root cause of problem.
  • Oversee daily warehouse operations, including receiving, labeling, storing, and shipping products.
  • Manage logistics for all incoming and outgoing freight.
  • Inspect all incoming products to ensure quality and no damage during shipment.
  • Receive stock deliveries, unpack, confirm receipt, and put away in correct location.
  • Input and track inventory in ERP system and/or SAP.
  • Arrange stock transfers in/out of other branches and coordinate service parts for technicians.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and organizational policies in warehouse practices.
  • Optimize warehouse layout and processes to improve efficiency.
  • Maintain bin locations for easy identification of inventory.
  • Coordinate order processing and shipments to ensure timely delivery of products to customers.
  • Manage returns and exchanges efficiently to maintain high customer satisfaction and inventory accuracy.
  • Supervise Warehouse Specialist, including training, scheduling, and performance evaluations.
  • Generate reports on inventory levels, turnover rates, and operational efficiency.
  • Analyze data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Work directly with Procurement team on recommended adjustments to inventory planning and controls.
  • Ensure timely receipt of orders in the system and uphold a philosophy of diligence on receiving and shipping.

Requirements

  • High School Degree Required
  • Associate degree or other post high school training (2 years duration) preferred.
  • Prior logistics, warehousing, and inventory management experience.
  • Skilled forklift operations experience and certification is required.
  • 1-2 years warehousing, inventory management and logistics experience.
  • Moderate proficiency with Microsoft programs such as Outlook, Word, Excel preferred.
  • SAP knowledge preferred.
  • Air compressor experience a plus.

Nice-to-haves

  • Familiarity with relevant regulations and standards, especially if handling hazardous materials or sensitive products.
