About the position

The Logistics Manager will oversee and enhance logistics operations, ensuring the efficient flow of goods from suppliers to customers while maintaining high service standards. This role involves managing a team, optimizing processes, and driving profitability through effective logistics strategies.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement logistics strategies that align with company objectives and improve overall efficiency.
• Oversee daily operations within the distribution center, ensuring timely and accurate order fulfillment.
• Supervise logistics staff, providing guidance and support to promote a high-performance culture.
• Manage relationships with third-party logistics (3PL) providers to ensure service levels meet company standards.
• Analyze profit loss statements to identify areas for cost reduction and process improvement.
• Collaborate with other departments to enhance supply chain performance and resolve logistical issues.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives within the warehouse and transportation operations.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to logistics efficiency and effectiveness.

Requirements

• Proven experience in logistics management or operations management within a distribution center environment.
• Strong knowledge of supply chain management principles and best practices.
• Experience supervising teams and managing personnel effectively.
• Familiarity with profit loss analysis and financial metrics related to logistics operations.
• Demonstrated ability in process improvement methodologies such as Lean or Six Sigma is preferred.
• Knowledge of transportation management systems (TMS) and warehouse management systems (WMS).
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on continuous improvement.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate across departments.
