About the position

The Warehouse and Purchasing Specialist at Skyline Communications is responsible for overseeing daily warehouse operations and managing the purchasing process. This role ensures efficient inventory management, procurement from reliable suppliers, and the organization of warehouse activities to support project and service requirements.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily warehouse operations, including receiving, inventory, and shipping goods.
• Stage materials for technicians and handle material returns from the field.
• Maintain an efficient, organized, and clean warehouse.
• Ensure materials are received to meet project and service manager's requirements and that they match the order specifications and quantity.
• Pick up and deliver materials from vendors and job sites as needed.
• Manage construction tools, equipment, and fleet vehicles.
• Identify and source from reliable suppliers to meet procurement needs.
• Negotiate favorable contracts with suppliers to optimize costs.
• Manage the purchasing process, including issuing purchase orders, tracking deliveries, receiving, and stocking.
• Monitor vendor pricing and market trends to identify opportunities for cost savings.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in warehouse management and purchasing.
• Proficiency in warehouse management software and resource planning systems.
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and team leadership skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in Supply Chain, Warehouse Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field.
