About the position

Spherion is seeking dedicated Warehouse Assemblers to join our team in Indianapolis, IN. This temporary position offers a shift from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, with a competitive pay rate of $17.50 per hour. As a Warehouse Assembler, you will play a crucial role in the assembly and packaging of products, ensuring that all items meet quality standards and are prepared for distribution. Your responsibilities will include assembling components in the correct sequence using various devices and equipment, inspecting items for proper fit in packages, and operating filling equipment for different product types and container sizes. You will also be responsible for visually inspecting assemblies, labeling containers, and accurately calculating the materials required for each order. This position requires physical stamina, as you will be lifting filled boxes and performing quality checks on each product. In addition to the assembly tasks, you will be expected to maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhere to safety protocols, and collaborate with team members to meet production goals. Responsibilities

  • Assemble components in sequence using appropriate devices/equipment.
  • Inspect items to ensure they fit properly in packages.
  • Manually fill and/or operate filling equipment for specified product types and container sizes.
  • Visually inspect assemblies/mix freeze for proper fit of components and operate test jigs.
  • Label tubes or containers and apply labels to boxes, cans, pails, etc.
  • Operate label application equipment as required.
  • Put packaged product into boxes and seal boxes by manually applying tape.
  • Place filled cartridges or caps in a cryogenic medium as required.
  • Accurately calculate the number of tubes and/or material required for each order and perform basic calculations to ensure appropriate ratios.
  • Lift filled boxes of components from stands and place boxes on pallets or stack in assigned areas.
  • Perform 100% quality check on each tube filled during the button board process.

Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to stand for an 8-hour shift.
  • Previous factory experience is a plus.
