About the position

The Warehouse Assistant - Beverage Purchasing role is designed to support the Warehouse Supervisor and Manager in managing warehouse inventory, receiving, and distribution of products throughout the resort. The position emphasizes maintaining sanitation and cleanliness standards while ensuring efficient operations in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Warehouse Supervisor and Manager with warehouse inventory management.
• Receive products, store, and distribute food in a sanitary manner.
• Move products from the receiving area to storage areas using hand trucks or rolling platforms.
• Sort, rotate, and place food on racks, shelving, or in bins according to specified sequences.
• Accurately record the amounts of food coming in or going out of inventory.
• Perform deliveries throughout the company in a timely and professional manner.
• Participate in the end-of-month inventory process.
• Communicate with vendors and their team members during truck check-ins.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in all work areas.
• Attend scheduled employee meetings and contribute suggestions for improvement.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of warehouse/inventory experience, preferably in food.
• High School Diploma or equivalent credentials; college degree preferred.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Favorable driving history.
• Basic reading, writing, and math skills.
• Basic computer experience and proficiency with peripherals like copiers and fax machines.
• Sanitation experience is helpful.
• Ability to present information courteously in one-on-one and group situations.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
• Ability to adapt to organizational and environmental changes.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in food service or hospitality industry.
