MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:Examples of key duties are interpreted as being descriptive and not restrictive in nature.
Maintain a safe and clean working environment in all warehouse areas and adhere to all safety rules. Attend a production/safety meeting every other week.
Unload inbound trailers from other plants or vendors providing finished goods/raw materials and put them away in designated locations, verifying the packing slip quantity for accuracy. Note any discrepancies; then write in locations on the packing list as items are put away.
Pick customer orders using pick lists provided by the warehouse Administrative Assistant, which have the product numbers with locations where they are stored. Document any deviations on the pick list as far as quantity or locations -the number of pallets pulled and write information at the top of the picking list. Assure correct/accurate quantities are sent on every customer order.
Once the items picked for the customer order have been verified, load product on trailer, if available, or stage until trailer arrives.
Consolidate partial pallets in the warehouse areas and/or combine them with the same product in another location to maximize space, being sure to fill out a change of location form when performing this duty to maintain location and count accuracy.
Process all returns in a timely manner.
Achieve customer and company shipping goals by working overtime as needed and often with short notice (same day).
Fill out daily forms for trailer inspections and "Pride" reporting of pieces/pallets handled.
Other duties as assigned.
EXPERIENCE:
Minimum of 2 to 3 years of continuous warehousing and electric forklift experience
forklift certified
basic understanding of PC data entry
have a good math aptitude
EDUCATION:
High School or equivalent

Forklift Operation
Personal computer literate

Ability to lift up to 50 Lbs.
