About the position

The Warehouse Associate position at Ryder in Spring Hill, TN, is a permanent full-time role focused on supporting the facility's operations in a safe and efficient manner. The associate will handle automotive parts and supplies using state-of-the-art equipment, ensuring timely and accurate fulfillment of warehouse tasks while adhering to safety protocols.

Responsibilities

  • Package, kit and/or assemble orders and materials.
  • Load and unload inbound/outbound trailers, ensuring all scanning is completed correctly.
  • Help train dock employees on new procedures.
  • Ensure facility security at the end of the shift and investigate/resolve scanning issues and housekeeping.
  • Perform picking and packing duties, checking for evidence of product or container damage.
  • Perform assigned tasks as described in the location's policies and procedures standards, including handling materials within associated logical transactions.
  • Perform material moves with associated physical/logical transactions as required.
  • Participate in workgroup and other team activities for self-improvement and improving warehouse operations.
  • Perform housekeeping duties for the assigned area.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Six months of related warehouse experience required.
  • One (1) year or more related warehouse experience preferred.
  • Ability to learn to operate powered industrial trucks, such as stand-up and sit-down forklifts, cherry pickers, and pallet jacks, including maintenance tasks.
  • Powered industrial truck certification required.
  • Ability to read and perform basic mathematics in English for safety and work instructions.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted.
  • Ability to input data into the WMS computer system(s).
  • Flexibility to work overtime as assigned.
  • Ability to create and maintain professional relationships within all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
  • Capable of multi-tasking and highly organized with excellent time management skills.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent follow-up practices.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience operating manual and/or automated warehouse/manufacturing equipment preferred.
