We are in our 93rd year and 2024 is looking to be our best year yet! We have an exciting opportunity to join our Team in Hudson, WI as a Warehouse Associate/Backup Driver. This position will support the day-to-day operations of the Branch and provide order and delivery services accordingly. The working hours for this position are Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 4 PM, ensuring a work-life balance with no weekends required. As a Warehouse Associate/Backup Driver, you will be responsible for maintaining effective relationships with suppliers and customers, providing excellent customer service, and resolving customer complaints as they arise. You will follow safety rules when driving, lifting, managing heavy material, and operating equipment. Your role will involve making all deliveries and pick-ups in a safe and timely manner on the designated route, as well as maintaining neat and orderly work areas, including the truck cab, to ensure a safe working environment. Additionally, you will be tasked with picking, filling, and packing orders promptly and accurately, as well as cutting and labeling wire to fill orders efficiently. This position does not require a CDL, but it does require a high school diploma or equivalent, along with warehouse, shipping, and route delivery experience. You will need a valid driver's license and a clean driving record, as well as excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively in both written and oral forms. Time management and organizational skills are essential, as is a safety mindset. You will also need to perform basic math and read and understand English. The physical demands of this position include frequent bending, stooping, squatting, climbing, crouching, reaching above, kneeling, pushing/pulling, and occasionally lifting up to 50 lbs throughout the working shift. The use of computer-based inventory and shipping software, electric vehicles (forklift, pallet jacks), ladders, and basic packaging tools and materials will also be required. Vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust and focus.
