About the position

The Warehouse Associate/Delivery Driver at Johnstone Supply is responsible for efficiently managing warehouse operations and delivering products to customers. This role involves receiving and processing shipments, preparing orders for delivery, and ensuring inventory accuracy. The position requires strong customer service skills and the ability to operate heavy equipment, including forklifts. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment and be willing to learn about the HVAC industry.

Responsibilities

• Quickly and accurately receive, process, and store incoming product shipments.
• Inspect shipments for damages or shortages and initiate freight claim procedures when necessary.
• Check incoming delivery contents against packing lists to verify accurate and full delivery.
• Prepare receiving reports and report any discrepancies to supervisors.
• Verify vendor part numbers and determine proper storage locations for incoming products.
• Select products from inventory to fill customer orders.
• Prepare, pack, and stage products for inter-store transfer and customer delivery.
• Process documentation necessary for shipping inter-store transfers and customer orders.
• Load delivery vehicles and assist customers with pickups.
• Process customer returns and ensure they are in sellable condition.
• Verify warranty paperwork and initiate warranty return processes.
• Perform periodic cycle counting to maintain accurate inventory records.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety in the warehouse environment.
• Operate hand trucks, pallet jacks, forklifts, and other equipment safely.
• Wear protective equipment and access Material Safety Data Sheets as needed.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Clean driving record.
• Basic math skills sufficient for inventory management.
• Basic computer skills, including knowledge of inventory management systems.
• Ability to lift, carry, and load up to 75 pounds repeatedly throughout the day.

Nice-to-haves

• 6 months experience in warehouse operations in a wholesale environment.
• Experience driving a forklift.
• Experience with computer or barcode-driven inventory management systems.
