About the position
The Warehouse Associate / Dock Worker position at Humano involves manual labor tasks primarily focused on unloading freight, particularly heavy furniture, and organizing it within the warehouse. This role is essential for maintaining the efficiency of the distribution center and requires teamwork to handle heavy loads safely. The position is for the 2nd shift, with a start time of 4:00 PM and may require Saturday work during peak seasons.
Responsibilities
- Unload freight and place it in the staging area using a dolly.
- Lift and move heavy items, typically between 50-300 pounds, often in teams of 2-3.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment in the warehouse.
- Assist with loading trailers and picking warehouse orders as needed.
- Participate in general warehouse tasks including palletizing and order selecting.
Requirements
- Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs.
- Experience in warehouse work or freight handling is preferred but not necessary.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with manual labor or in a warehouse environment.
