About the position

The Warehouse Associate I position at Wolar Industrial is an entry-level role focused on the efficient receipt, storage, and shipment of metal gaskets and related products. The associate will support the warehouse team by managing inventory accurately, processing orders promptly, and ensuring a safe and smooth operation within the warehouse environment.

Responsibilities

  • Pick, pack, and prepare products for shipment according to customer orders.
  • Ensure accuracy of picked items by cross-referencing order numbers and product descriptions.
  • Stage orders for shipping and ensure they are correctly labeled and documented.
  • Assist with receiving, inspecting, and verifying incoming shipments for accuracy, quality, and condition.
  • Store products in appropriate locations in the warehouse, following safety and inventory control procedures.
  • Track product movement using warehouse management software and assist with periodic inventory counts.
  • Report any discrepancies or damage to the Warehouse Supervisor.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Warehouse Supervisor or Manager, including routine cleaning, sorting, and organizing of warehouse items.
  • Assist with the organization of inventory, stock rotation, and ensuring that warehouse spaces are fully stocked and accessible.
  • Follow safety protocols, wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), and maintain a clean and safe working environment.
  • Comply with company policies and industry regulations, particularly those related to the handling of hazardous materials (if applicable).
  • Use manual labor and material handling equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, forklifts, and hand trucks) to move products throughout the warehouse.
  • Assist with customer order inquiries, tracking, and any related issues, ensuring timely resolution.
  • Collaborate with the shipping and logistics team to address any delivery concerns or shipping discrepancies.
  • Work closely with other warehouse associates to ensure seamless operations.
  • Coordinate the movement of goods in and out of the warehouse, ensuring accuracy and timely deliveries.
  • Maintain accurate records of inventory, shipments, and warehouse activities.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent, required.
  • 0-2 years of experience working in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.
  • Experience documenting order processes.
  • Capable of being trained to drive a forklift.
  • Strong leadership, team management, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of warehouse operations, shipping, pick/pack, and logistics.
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure.

Nice-to-haves

  • Warehouse experience: 3 years (Preferred)
