About the position

The Warehouse Associate II plays a crucial role in the logistics and distribution process at Hubbell Power Systems. This position involves loading and unloading trailers, operating material handling equipment, and ensuring that customer orders are accurately prepared and delivered. The associate is responsible for maintaining safety standards and a clean working environment while supporting the overall efficiency of warehouse operations.

Responsibilities

  • Load and unload trailers and operate the diesel yard truck.
  • Move trailers as needed within the warehouse.
  • Operate equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts to shift products and build customer orders.
  • Load customer orders onto delivery trucks for distribution.
  • Follow safety, company, and 6S standards to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
  • Coordinate and document tote information accurately.
  • Act as a liaison between the shipping office and material handlers.
  • Follow FIFO (First In, First Out) procedures as directed by leadership.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work area and assist in warehouse housekeeping.
  • Complete paperwork accurately and handle it appropriately.
  • Perform miscellaneous activities as directed by the manager to support warehouse operations.

Requirements

  • Three years of experience in a high-volume warehouse environment.
  • Ability to perform work for a minimum of eight hours.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. from floor to waist and waist to floor.
  • Willingness to embrace the Hubbell Values and Behaviors.
  • Ability to contribute to team efforts and participate in projects as needed.
  • Knowledge of appropriate handling, safety, and warehouse standards.
  • Basic problem-solving skills to handle regular job problems.
