About the position
The Warehouse Associate is responsible for performing general duties associated with warehouse distribution, including shipping, receiving, order picking, inventory management, and delivery. This role requires physical strength and the ability to operate various material handling equipment while ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
Responsibilities
- Perform all requirements of assigned department(s) including shipping, receiving, order picking, inventory, and delivery.
- Ensure verification on all incoming and outgoing transactions.
- Receive material from vendors and maintain related records.
- Assist with loading and unloading delivery vehicles.
- Assist with inventory management including cycle counts.
- Lift, carry, or move products weighing up to 50 pounds unassisted and occasionally up to 75+ pounds.
- Bend, stoop, and crouch regularly to stock or deliver products.
- Operate a forklift and other material handling equipment as required.
- Create, implement, and revise work procedures and instructions.
- Clean and maintain work area to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Follow all safety policies and procedures and complete required training.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Minimum 1-year work experience, preferably in warehousing.
- Basic PC skills with MS Office Products preferred.
- Ability to operate computer terminal and other computer-related equipment relevant to job duties.
- High level of initiative and commitment to fulfill company mission.
