About the position
The Warehouse Associate position at Edward Don & Company involves a variety of essential duties focused on the receiving, stocking, preparation, and shipping of merchandise to customers in both local and outlying areas. This role is critical in ensuring that the warehouse operates efficiently and that customers receive their orders accurately and on time. The Warehouse Associate will be responsible for receiving and stocking merchandise, processing returned items, preparing merchandise for shipment, and managing inventory by dropping items from reserve to pick slots. Additionally, the associate will pick manual orders, assemble and check pre-packs, and perform housekeeping duties as assigned. A significant aspect of this role includes operating various equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks, which requires the ability to lift weights ranging from 40 to 60 pounds repeatedly throughout the shift. The position also demands physical stamina, as associates will be bending, stooping, climbing, standing, and twisting for extended periods. Successful candidates will need to complete forklift training and certification requirements and will be expected to operate a PC/Data Terminal for Returns and UPS. Effective communication skills, both oral and written, are essential for this role to ensure smooth operations and coordination with team members and management.

Requirements
- Previous warehousing experience
- Ability to lift 40-60 pounds
- Ability to operate forklift/pallet jack and cherry picker
- Ability to operate a Radio Frequency (RF) device
- Ability to operate the shrink wrap machine
- Effective oral and written communication skills
